Yes. Every year BG East Little League has Player Evaluations/Tryouts that include very simple catching, throwing, hitting and fielding. This is used in order to give each Coach/Team the best chance to field a competitive team for the upcoming season.

Each age group will have a separate night for evaluation for convenience and player safety. If your son/daughter cannot attend his/her age appropriate tryout, simply attend the closest night possible.

Where and When are the Evaluations?
Evaluations are typically held at Bowling Green Junior High, and dates are announced in January.

Please have your son/daughter wear tennis shoes (no cleats are allowed in the facility), and bring a glove, bat and batting helmet. The League will have loaner equipment available if needed.

How will I find out which Team my son/daughter is on?
Your Coach will call the week following evaluations to schedule a Team Parent Meeting and provide a Team Practice schedule.

How long is the season?
Teams will be formed in late February and the Season ends in early June.
