BG East Little League Evaluations
The 2025 BG East Spring Evaluations will take place Sunday, February 23rd. The location will be announced later this week. Your child’s evaluation time is determined by his/her LEAGUE AGE. Times and information on how to determine your league age are included below.
We are hosting a mandatory parent/guardian meeting at the same time of your child’s evaluation in the cafeteria. We will share information regarding the upcoming season and address any questions you may have about the season. The meeting will take place during player evaluations. Please attempt to have someone attend this meeting.
Evaluations Times
Player Evaluations: Times are below, check-in will begin 30 minutes before each age group begins.
8U and 9U: 12:00pm
10U: 2:00pm
11U and 12U: 3:30pm
Little League Evaluations
Thank You for registering your child for Bowling Green East Little League. We are excited to start the season!
The first step will be our Little League Evaluations which will take place Sunday February 23rd (location announced later this week). Evaluation times are separated by the players “League Age.” We have included the 2025 Little League Age Chart below, along with a few examples of how to determine your child’s “League Age.” If you have questions, please email us at bgeastllacct@gmail.com
DETERMINING LEAGUE AGE
In Little League Baseball a child’s “Age” can vary from their “League Age” based on Little League’s Age Guidelines. The easiest way to determine your child’s “League Age” is to visit the Little League Age Calculator on the LL website (CLICK HERE).
To better understand how the guidelines work, see the chart below. To determine your child’s “League Age” for evaluations, match the month at the top, with the year they were born below, then move to the right to see the child’s “League Age“.
LEAGUE AGE EXAMPLES
Example 1: If a child is born in July of 2015, his/her “League Age” would be 10 based on the chart above. While that child is only 9 as of today, they are considered “League Age” 10 per the Little League Guidelines. For evaluations this child would attend the 10U evaluation.
Example 2: If a child is born in April of 2014, his/her “League Age” would be 11 based on the chart above. While that child is only 10 as of today, they are considered “League Age” 11 per the Little League Guidelines. For evaluations this child would attend the 11U-12U evaluation.
Example 3: If a child is born in January of 2016, his/her “League Age” would be 9 based on the chart above. In this instance the child’s “League Age” and current “Age” are the same per the Little League Guidelines. For evaluations this child would attend the 9U evaluations.
